About me

Welcome! I'm Lucie and I believe leadership is less about being the smartest person in the room, and more about curating a room full of brilliant minds. With over 15 years of experience leading diverse teams in dynamic international environments, I've had the incredible opportunity to cultivate high-performing groups, often comprised of individuals far more skilled or knowledgeable in specific domains than myself. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

I truly love what I do – the challenge, the collaboration, and especially the chance to share insights from my journey. My team isn't just a group of individuals; they are my strongest asset, and their success is unequivocally my success.

My leadership philosophy is deeply rooted in a human-centric approach. I recognize that true strength comes from empowering others. This means:

  • Understanding Individual Brilliance: I strive to identify each team member's unique "zone of genius," and then strategically align their incredible talents with our collective goals.

  • Being a Blocker Remover: Instead of competing with technical skills, my role is to clear the path. I listen intently to concerns, navigate organizational complexities, and ensure my team has the resources and space they need to thrive.

  • Fostering a Safe Culture: I am passionate about creating an environment where everyone feels valued, can voice their concerns, and is encouraged to take calculated risks without fear of failure. Learning from mistakes, not punishing them, is how innovation truly takes flight.

Embracing Humility: Leading smart people demands confidence, but it also requires humility. I'm not afraid to say, "I don't know, what's your recommendation?" because that's precisely why I hired them – for their vision, advice, and expertise.

For me, leading a team full of smart and motivated people is a profound luxury and a powerful secret weapon. It pushes me to be a better leader, allows me to focus on high-level strategy, and ultimately drives outstanding results.

Here on my blog, I aim to share more about these experiences, the lessons I've learned, and my ongoing insights into building and leading exceptional teams in today's global landscape.

Thank you for visiting!
